The World Stupidity Awards work with credo that we're all stupid, some of us just need to have it pointed out. The WSA focus on willful stupidity in an era of unprecedented knowledge and informational access

    The Stupidity Awards were created in the year 2003 to salute achievement in ignorance and stupidity. Although there were awards for those who kill themselves in acts of stupidity, there were none for those still living, who are potentially more influential. The awards were developed when researchers on the film Stupidity discovered that there were no awards for the ignorance, and more importantly deliberate stupidity.

    The World Stupidity Awards are here to give the titans of nincompoopery and the promoters of ignorance the credit they deserve.

    The Awards are overseen by the Main Organization Revealing Obvious Numbskulls (MORON) and are guided by experts in the field, "a bunch of idiots" also known as the Academy Recognizing Stupidity Everywhere (ARSE.) The World Stupidity Awards are a lighthearted, humorous take on the self-congratulatory awards shows and the challenges facing humanity.
