Fifth Annual World Stupidity Awards now stupider using YouTubeVideos
The World Stupidity Award is calling 2007 a year of tremendous achievement in the fields of deliberate stupidity and ignorance. But little of this stupidity according to ARSE, the Academy Recognizing Stupidity Everywhere would be possible without the support of the media, particularly television media.
In a year were climate change reached crisis proportions, and war and terrorism caused death and suffering and a large scale, the media focused world attention on Paris Hilton's brief prison stay and Britney Spears crotch.
It was year of very dumb statements but some statements were dumber than others.

Bush, a perennial winner at the awards, was almost shut out this year, although the White House did take the category of Stupidity Award for Reckless Endangerment of the Planet for its opposition to the world on climate change.
The Dumbest Moment of the Year was a hotly tested category featuring actor David Hasselhoff's drunken devouring of a hamburger and a police officer tasering himself. However, the winner would go to former child star Danny Bonaduce dropping reality TV star Johnny Fairplay on his face knocking out his teeth during the Reality TV Awards.
"What you have a here is a stupidity Trifecta," said World Stupidity Awards Spokesmoron Robert Spence. "You have Danny Bonaduce former TV child star at the Reality TV Awards, dropping a reality TV star on his face, knocking his teeth out."
This year the World Stupidity Awards featuring Youtube videos of all nominated videos. They appear at the World Stupidity Awards website at www.stupidityawards.com.
The World Stupidity Awards are determined by nomination and voted on by experts in the field, "a bunch of morons". The WSA are a lighthearted take on actions of deliberate stupidity in a world that should know better.
